  1. I am very glad that you have tackled this subject.. It has in my view been clear for sometime that there is some deterioration for want of timely hospitalization. How in the world can this be corrected? So many have not been given the chance to stabilize because of the dearth of timely hospitalization. Many people will never be as well as they might have been because of the failure to give people time, in a safe place, to adjust to these devastating brain diseases.

Alas, fighting stigma has become the main pre-ocupation of the system, instead of providing timely treatment. In the long run timely treatment does more to battle stigma ,and reduce it, than all the anti-stigma talk!

  2. DJ Jaffe has written a book, “Insane Consequences” that addresses many of these concerns and it includes resources that can be used by readers to implement change. DJ is from Harlem, NY area in US.
